ABSTRACT

Kolej Melaka (KM) is looking for a company that could develop

and maintain a website to promote its program (Diploma In
Computer Science) in the internet.

Web-Work Solution’s plan for doing so involves:

•Developing a website to promote KM’s program
•Using Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash
•Using simple language to convey message

Good maintenance is also provided by doing daily updates of the

data systems and installation of free
software to KM’s computer lab.
1.0 INTRODUCTION

This is a proposal for the designing of a website for KM to

promote its program (Diploma In Computer Science). The
website will give more information about the program and
KM’s vision will be achieved.

The items that are emphasizes in designing KM’s website are:

• attractiveness
• fast loading
• user friendly
• stickiness factor
2.0 PROPOSAL OF A WEBSITE
2.1 Website
The software used are Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash

2.1.1 Macromedia Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver is used to build this website because it is:

• the easiest way to create a basic website

• possibly is the most popular web authoring software

This software has more advanced design options such as

incorporating Flash elements and creating dynamic web pages.
Dreamweaver allows a tremendous amount of control over the look
and behavior of KM’s website.
2.1.2 Flash for Introduction

Flash can make the viewer stay interested the website, of course the
messages will be successfully conveyed to the viewers.

This website can attract students to further their study in KM because

the website complements KM’s motto “EXCELLENT &
PROFESSIONAL”.

2.2 MAINTENANCE
All of these activities are included in each web maintenance options:

•Changing or replacing information on existing webpages.

•Creating or adding up to 10 new links.
•Updating “What’s New?.
•Updating “Links” Page.
•Uploading PDF and other documents.
•Maintaining HTML validity, browser compatibility, JAVA script.
•Linking and spelling validation (weekly link error reporting)
•Managing email accounts, domain name registration and web host
request.

3.0 CONCLUSION

installments of software to your computer lab.
