The variable delivery pump comes with a power control

which limits the power absorbed to a level less than or
equal to the motor power (see chart) regardless of the
pressure reached

Pump absorption can be adjusted by adjusting power control 5.

Proceed as directed below
Start up the main pump with the mobile guards open, the plunger fully up and the
plunger mechanical lock system engaged

Keep button 28 found on the
control system, pressed (solenoid
valve YV99 is energized and the
pump delivers oil drained by
safety valve 111. The operating
pressure for the press is reached).
- Attach a clamp tester to the supply wires of the motor.
- Turn screw 6 on the power control until the absorption value read (in AMPERES) is the same as that given on
the motor’s rating plate divided by 1.732 if a 50 Hz motor is used. On the other hand, if a 60 Hz motor is used,
divide by 1.732 and then again by 1.15. The reading should be taken on each supply wire and the reference
current corresponds to the average of the readings taken on the three wires. If a clamp tester is not available,
use the ammeter in the cabinet remembering that the current reading corresponds to the total value for the three
supply wires. As a rule, the max. output currents should be the same as that given on the motor’s rating plate if a
50 Hz motor is used. On the other hand, if a 60 Hz motor is used, it should equal the rated value divided by 1.15.
Under these conditions, as the ammeter is on the cabinet’s line and not the control unit’s motor, make sure the
other parts are shut off.
Solenoid valve YV22s delivers oil to valves YV22a
and YV22b which, in turn, supply oil to pistons
180a1, 180a2, 180b1 and 180b2

The pistons on both sides are connected to each other through the intermediate conduit,
which assures perfect synchronism of movement. The pressure of the intermediate duct is
restored using solenoid valves YV304a and YV304b, which connect the intermediate
chambers to the reduced pressure line through reducer 166 every 10 cycle

The speed and timing are controlled by the axis control card. The latter, in turn, is
governed by the control system according to the position of the pistons. Transducers
BQ4 and BQ5 are used to monitor this position.

As soon as solenoid valve YV22s is

energized, oil is delivered to valves
YV22a and YV22b . The latter keep
the die-set in position .
REPLACE THE FILTER ELEMENTS.
when the filters are clogged, the service indicators:
SP1 Filter on filtration and cooling circuit located in hydraulic power unit
SP5 Filter for knockout valve feed valve located on the knockout circuit
SP6 Air oil heat exchanger circuit filter in hydraulic power unit on radiator’s supply line detect the filters
need to be changed
SP7 Pilot filter for pressing proportional valve on the related assembly
indicate when the filter needs to be changed.
Message “Change filter SP… within 100 hours” is displayed. This means the operator has 100 hours to
change the clogged filter.
The message remains on the display with the counter that decreases as each hour goes by showing the
number of hours left. If the filter is not changed when the counter reaches zero, the press shuts down.
Operation can be re-started only after the filter has been changed.
As a result, the operator can change the filters from the time that spans from when the message signaling
the filter is clogged is displayed and the press actually shuts down, thereby allowing the job to be planned in
advance.
If message “Check SP…“ is displayed, the press completes the cycle and then shuts down. In this case,
WARNING!
Any jumpers present may cause the indicator to
malfunction and the press to shut down.
CHANGE THE FILTERS AS DIRECTED AND AT THE
INTERVALS GIVEN BELOW:

 Stop the press and put it in a safe condition to replace the filter element

CHANGE THE FILTERS AS DIRECTED AND AT THE
INTERVALS GIVEN BELOW:

 After cleaning the area around the filter and releasing the pressure inside the container using cock 401,
the body filter can be opened by loosening the four screws that fix the cover to the top
 the body filter can be opened by loosening the four screws that fix the cover to the top. By grasping the
handle attached to the filter element, the element to be replaced can be extracted from the filter body.
 Loosen the bolt placed at the bottom to detach the handle and other components from the filter element.
 These parts need to be used with the new filter element. Put in the new filter, slowly open cock 402 and release the
air still trapped inside the filter body with cock 401. The press can be restarted once this has been done.
