INTRODUCTION

 The project intends to revolutionize the wide

array of display interfaces by introducing a
holographic presentation.
 The display utilizes strips of LEDs
perpendicular to a rotating axis mounted on a
base
 The 3D volumetric display has potential
applications in advertisement, education, data
visualization and entertainment

4
OBJECTIVES
 The primary objective of our project is to design and develop a
functional prototype of a 3-dimensional Volumetric POV display
system that will stand out as an innovative solution capable of creating
immersive 3D visualization without needing special glasses or virtual
reality technology.

 The project aims to achieve a display interface that will revolutionize

media as a whole.

 The project will also explore the limitations of the display system in
terms of resolution, image quality, and user interaction.

 Through our project we wish to provide insights and recommendations

for developing and improving the 3D volumetric display technology
further to realize the need for new display interfaces for various
contexts including medical imaging, advertising, education, and
entertainment recommendations

LITERATURE REVIEW

 To explain the perspective and method which has been used in earlier projects
and establish the inferences we have derived from them to aid in solving the
current project problems.

 The project uses the phenomenon of rapid rotation of an LED array to

produce a three-dimensional projection.

 Through referring to various past projects, Atmega 328P is found to be a

suitable microprocessor.

 The basic component parts include the power supply, motor, microprocessor,
and parts that aid in data storage and transfer. The Arduino and digital
components need a 5V supply to operate safely.

 Our project will not include any existing patents, copyrights, or trademarks.
We will make the hardware from scratch and all software will be our original
work with guidance from our project head.

COMPONENTS USED

MICROCONTROLLER LED STRIPS DC Power supply DC Motor

8
DESIGN AND WORKING
These include the mechanical frame and the 24V motor.
Base components It is these components that realize the concept of a
moving screen which is required to achieve the
persistence of vision.

Rotating These include the microcontroller and LED array. These are
components responsible for the image projection of a section of a predefined
primitive onto the moving screen realized by the
basecomponents’ operation

The LED array used here is in the form of a matrix, containing

Multiplexing
LEDs. They are arranged in the form of a grid of 8 rows and 8
columns comprising of common positive terminals and common
negative terminals.
The Arduino Board
We need to be able to control the speed of the motor
because it must match the speed at which the LED
switch from displaying one column to the next. For this
purpose the Arduino board is used.

SUMMARY

The proposed model of the 3D Volumetric Display is capable of

generating simple primitives like Sphere, Cylinder, Cone, and Di-
Cone. i.e., axisymmetric models can be generated with the right
code programmed into the microcontroller. The 3D model
generated using this setup gave images having a lower resolution
and less structural integrity in the image. This is due to the de-
sync that may happen between the host PC and the microcontroller
and the lighting conditions of the area where The experiment was
set up. This promotes the formation of dark zones in the 3D model
generated. This can be reduced using a higher-functioning
microcontroller such as FPGAV(Field Programmable Gate
Arrays). Thus, reducing the sync time between the Host PC,
Microcontroller, and LED array code programmed
