Agta( Aeta)- found in the
province of Albay.

Agta-cimarron- found
in Camarines Sur and
Camarines Norte, and
Sorsogon

Agta-tabangnon- found in
Catanduanes
Physical Traits:
• Smaller stature
• Dark skin
• Tightly curled, often frizzy hair
Traits:
• Also known for their resilience,
adaptability, and strong sense of
community.

female Aeta wear to
cover their body from
top to bottom.
LIFESTYLE AND
ECONOMY
• The Agta are traditinally nomadic, living within
the forest and relying on hunnting, gathering,
and fishing.
Practices and Tradition:
• They move from place to place and setting
up temporary shelters. They hunt and gather
fruits, vegetables, and other edible plants
from the forest.
• They also engage in trade with neighboring
groups.
Culture and beliefs
• They have intimate knowledge of their
environment and a deep respect for it. They
believe in living in harmony with nature and
taking only what they need.
• They believe in spirits and guardians of nature
• One of their methods of healing is using song
and dance to get the spirit out of the body.
Also known as "Kagon".
Arts
• The Agta are skilled in weaving.
• A traditional form of visual body art -
body scarification.
• They also practice the art of tattoo.
Masbate
• The province is known for its Cattle
industry.
• A first class province located at the center
of the Philippine archipelago.
• The indigenous people in Masbate are
known as "Masbateño".
Economy:
• They have cottage industries, furniture and
cabinet making, and cattle raising . The
province is also known for its gold mines and is
dubbed as the " Cattle Capital of the
Philippines" due to its vast cattle industry.
Tradition/ Belief:
• Beliefs on god, the soul and the afterlife are
strongly held by Masbateños .
Cultures :
• The Rodeo Masbateño, held annually during
April.
• They also celebrate Corn Festival, a harvest
festival.
Lifestyle:
• Masbateños are involved in farming, fishing,
and livestock raising.
