BASIC PRINCIPLE OF FOOT

PEDAL SPRAYER
1. A foot pump sprayermachine is a
machine to compress the air and to use
compressed air for spraying chemicals
such as pesti cides or paints.
2. In this machine power is acquiring in the
oscilator y moti on by the foot pump we
are compressing the air in the storage
tank.
3. By which piston of the piston-cylinder
starts its reciprocati on moti on and
provides air in storage tank.
4. Air start pressurising in tank itself as
volume of the air get reduced and this
compressed air can be used for spraying
using spray gun.

1. It consists of the foor pump which
operated by the user for number of
oscillati ons.
2. The oscillati on moti on or movement
of foot pedal of the pump compress
the air and stores in the storage
tank.
3.When foot pump pedal oscilates, rod
get actuated and 'to and pro' moti on
of piston rod is achieved.
4.This causes sucti on of air and this air
is passed via pipes and check valve
to the tank and pressure building in
tank may get started.
5. This compressed air can be passed
to Spray Gun for spraying chemicals.
FABRICATED MODEL
Advantages
• Easy to operate.
• It is pollution free.
• It is multipurpose machine.
• Easy to assemble.
• Unit cost is very cheap.

Disadvantages
• Pressure control device isn’t control press at working because
speed is not constant.
• More space is required.
• It is not self prime.
• If any leakage efficiency is suddenly decreases.
Disadvantages

• Initial purchase cost of project is high.

• Less efficient than electric air sprayer.
• It is heavy in weight.
Applications:

• It is very useful into the local rural areas and normal

workshop.
• Sprayer can be used for painting car chassis.
• Can also be used in paintings shops.
• This whole arrangement will be used as a exercise
• It can be used in farm as pesticides sprayer
FUTURE SCOPE
Being the diploma Engineers and having the ability to
think and plan. But due to some time constraints, and
also due to lack of funds, we only have thought and
put in the report the following future modifications:
 Complete automation can be achieved .

 Mobility of machine can be increased.

 Portability can be improvised.

 Thus in future there are so many modifications, which we

can make to survive the huge global world of competition.
CONCLUSION
 CONCLUSION
 The foot pump sprayer machine has been
experimentally verified.
 It achieved supply pressure up to 2 Bar under the
normal conditions.
 This foot air pump mechanism can generate
enough power to spray paint properly.
 The sprayer is human powered.
 The pressurized air generated and be used in
various other purposes such as filling air in
tires,etc.
 We come to know that, actual difference between the theory
work like design of components on the making a time study
and also practical work while completing model.

 This project give us a valuable knowledge of nearly

everything concerned with the workshop.

 Preparing a working model of this machine was a totally new

experience for us.

 We got the idea how to work systematically in a group.
