PLANNING

A managers most essential task is to see that everyone understand the group’s mission and
objectives and the methods for attaining them. If group efforts is to be effective, people must
know what they are expected to accomplish. This is the function of Planning. It is the most basic
of all the managerial function. Planning involves “Selecting missions and objectives as well as
the actions to achieve them, which requires decision making, that is, choosing a course of action
amongst all alternatives”.

Plans can be classified as:

 Mission or Purpose
 Objectives or Goals
 Strategies
 Policies
 Procedures
 Rules
 Programs
 Budgets

The different Planning activities carried out in PRESSUREJET SYSTEM PVT. LTD.

MISSION OR PURPOSE

We will achieve our Vision by continually:

satisfaction, by improving different skills, moral, ethics and human values.

9
STRATEGY : Price guarantee and money back guarantee

In the rare case, it may be possible that the selection of the pump can be done on lower side and
due to under selection, it does not perform as per the customer’s expectation (It takes more time
than customer expects). In such case, if pump is not used for more than few hours and condition
is up-to-date, we adjust 100% material value to replace another higher model pump.

This does not include special driver i.e. motor, diesel engine and special bought out items, which
are not standard items.

We feel that Money Back Policy is not an ultimate guarantee and it does not serve real purpose
of customer i.e. quality & value for money. However, this guarantee is introduced by PressureJet
as a part of commitment.

You will understand very well that no company can be survived by returning 85 to 95 % money
back. One should understand very well that the claim under this policy is less than 1% of turn
over and less than 0.25% with respect to pump quantity and therefore we have continued this
policy since inception i.e. year 1996.

Main objective of this policy is to create a collaborative effort by both parties i.e. supplier and
customer. We have experienced in many a case, where customer wants to buy a machine and
supplier guarantee for value for money, but customer does not take decision because of lack of
experience of such machine and therefore deal does not close. We, at PressureJet strongly feel
that “EMPTY BOX OF GUARANTEE” does not satisfy / convince our customers.

POLICIES

POLICY DEFINATION

What is policy?

PressureJet is a goal-oriented organization, which believes in management by objectives. Their

prime focus has been to develop an organization.

Policy is the decision taken by the higher authority, in the major interest to benefit the entire
system. Policy does not mean only advantages. The efficiency of any policy does not only
depend upon the maker, but followers also play vital role for the success of the implementation
of the policy.

We should clearly understand that the policy always its own reparation on and above the
advantages. One should not give up following the policy unless he finds more reparation and
fewer advantages. Few policies may not be the same for everybody. It varies as per seniority
(grade wise).

It is often experienced that some people always sees the reparation of the policy rather than
analyzing the great benefits of policy. Therefore such people are responsible for the failure of the
policy and henceforth, system as a whole.

In case any employee is disturbed OR expect any relaxation in policy, can always talk to HR
department / H. O. D. / in the absence of both M. D. and put in his / her suggestion(s). However,
he / she should raise the question considering the company as a whole, not considering an
individual.

Follower of policy is a great team member.

CHANGE IN POLICY

11
However, since business and organization are subject to change, they reserve the right to
interpret, change, suspend, cancel, or dispute with or without notice all or any part of our
policies, procedures, and benefits at any time. They will notify all employees of these changes.
Changes will be effective on the dates determined by the Company, and after those dates all
superseded policies will be null.
