INTRODUCTION
From the past few years, mobile phones have become a main source of
communication for this digitalize society. We can make calls and text
messages from a source to a destination easily. It is known that verbal
communication is the most appropriate modem of passing on and
conceiving the correct information.In this project, I will take a look at
text to speech conversion. Using Optical Character Recognition. Optical
Character Recognition can be used widely in healthcare applications to
aid blind people.Also can be used in kids institutes to aid for early word
learning.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
• The number of visually challenged people are increasing every year due to eye
diseases age-related causes and other causes and reading is one of major importance
in the daily routine of humankind and visually impaired people face many
difficulties.
• In other Countries some of the people who guide the visually impared people are not
capable to read and it will become a difficult understand some writings and it leads
to manipulations and scams
• However our Text-to-Speech Optical Character Recognition Converter System is
designed to help visually challenged people by converting text on images or boards
into speech for better understanding and navigation.
AIMS
• To design and develop a system for visually challenged people
to get information about the printed text, text boards,
instructions on traffic signboards in audio form
• Also to be used by people who are not visually impared but
those who cant focus on reading and have problems
pronouncing the written text
OBJECTIVES
• To design a system for visually challenged people to get information
about the printed text and written text in audio form
• To design a systems tha will help people who cant focus on reading and
have problems pronouncing the written text
• To design a system that will also be used in learning places and that will
aid early learning
• To enhance the speech recognition and conversion of text to speech
HOW THE APPLICATION WILL WORK
• The system will auto-capture a photo.
• It will process the photo using OCR l will used the Google
mlkit text recognition API for OCR
• The system will detect the text on the photo.
• It will convert it into speech and read out the contents.

If the image is not captured properly, the system will produce inaccurate results or it
will not able to read text from the image
