Historically, alterable objects of art have
existed since the Renaissance, for example,
in the Triptych "
The Garden of Earthly Delights" by
Hieronymus Bosch or in the so-called
"alterable altarpieces", where changing motifs
could be revised in accord with the changing
themes of the ecclesiastical calendar.

Grid Construction
for Level I
Standard Grid
There are many ways to create basic design
patterns from modular arithmetic operations
tables. The traditional way is to assign a
patterned square to each numbered cell in
the interior of a table, say a mod 4 addition
table. Notice that the interior of the table is
a 4 x 4 array of cells.

Important Reminders
1. Use pencil only in constructing the grid.
2. Make the design in the first quadrant in a
long coupon bond first before doing the whole
modulo art in the cartolina
3. Use Sterling or Crayola in coloring (primary
colors only).
4. Do not leave part/parts of your legend
uncolored.
5. Do not use templates or tracing shapes in
generating patterns.
6. Do not place margins or borders.
