Max Kidruk is a writer known for
his love of travel and travel
descriptions in books. Kidruk also
became the discoverer of several
new genres for Ukrainian literature:
travelogue and technothriller.
•Max Kidruk was born in 1984 in the
village of Volodymyrets, Rivne region.
Studied at the Faculty of Mechanics and
Power Engineering of the Rivne
University of Water Management and
Nature Management. During his student
years, he worked as a programmer. In
2007, Max Kidruk won a study grant
and moved to Sweden, where he
became a graduate student at the Royal
Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
Since then, the writer began to travel
actively: in two years he visited
Finland, Norway, Italy and other
countries. After a trip to Mexico, the
book "Mexican chronicles. The story of
In 2012, Max Kidruk became the author of the first Ukrainian
technothriller, a genre that combines elements of science fiction,
a war story, and an adventure novel and tells about the
interaction of man with technology. After two weeks of sales,
the edition called "Bot" became one of the leaders of the top 20
most popular books in the Ye bookstore chain. The author's next
technothrillers were also successful: "Fortress" and "Cruel Sky".
The peculiarity of "Fortress" is that all the main characters have
real prototypes, and Kidruk drew one of the heroes of the novel
from himself. The author calls "Cruel Sky" the first Ukrainian
novel about our country's aviation.
