over time.

In education typically denote official

imposed by authorities, such as governments
or educational institutions, to guide and
regulate the educational system.

An educational technique that provides students
with brief intensive activities that target specific
academic skills. In a guest post with Cambridge
University Press, teacher trainer Jade Blue
describes it as an approach that “takes into account
the contemporary demands of learner lifestyles that
might hinder longer periods of focused study and
time spent in the classroom.”
Digital Citizenship

The ability to use technology and the Internet both


effectively and appropriately. Good digital citizenship
is increasingly necessary, but as assignments and
lessons traditionally done in person move online,
students need the skills to develop a healthy
relationship with digital media.
Gamification

Learning strategy that involves using


games and rewards to teach students, is a
strategy with plenty of both advocates and
critics.
Experiential Learning

According to the UC Denver Experiential


Learning Center, allows students to develop
knowledge and skills in a setting outside of the
classroom.

Act of 2013

K-12 Program

Implemented under Republic Act 10533, the K-


12 program introduced additional years to the
basic education cycle, including kindergarten
and two years of senior high school, to better
prepare students for higher education,
employment, or entrepreneurship.
Republic Act 9155 (Governance of
Basic Education Act of 2001)
This law provides the framework for the
governance of the basic education system in
the country, including the roles and
responsibilities of various stakeholders such as
the Department of Education (DepEd), local
government units, and schools.
