Aims of this module

• This module introduces the students to


fundamental concepts of data management,
data quality issues and measures. The module
introduces students to different data pre-
processing techniques and to perform
exploratory data analytics. The module also
introduces students to some basic data mining
concepts and techniques.

Course Learning outcomes, CLOs

 At the end of this course, YOU should be able to:

1. Explain the concepts related to data management, data


modelling and data mining (C2, PLO1).
2. Apply suitable data management, data warehouse
modelling and data mining techniques to solve specific
problems (C3, PLO2).
3. Implement suitable data pre-processing techniques to
clean a given dataset (C3, PLO2).
4. Demonstrate research on the various techniques used in
data mining within specified areas (A3, PLO9).

What is expected of you
 You should abide to all the rules & regulation of
