Grouping Cards
Mind Map
What comes up to your mind with your word?
why do we
need to
introduce

We have three different cards; however,
they are related to each other.
That’s why we need to introduce them together.
When I tell you that something is like
stairs, which message will you get?
1-We have something we need to
put in order.
2- We need to follow the steps.
3-We have to start small until we
reach the biggest step.
4-We can’t reach the last step
without passing by the first step.
Let’s consider
these three
genres the
three steps of
a stair.
How would you arrange
them?
1- The first step will be the opinion writing (To
just express my opinion)
2-The second step will be persuasive writing (To
express my opinion and then persuade the
audience)
3-The third step will be argumentative writing (I
am trying to delay my opinion until I evaluate
the 2 sides of the topic then I reach a
resolution.
Each group will prepare 3 sticky notes for the
three genres, read the following checklist and
sort each one to mach each genre.
Take 3 min to read and sort them.
