● Desiring to further strengthen bilateral relations through trade, and to build upon the
2017 Agreement through the establishment of an enhanced and modernized new free
trade agreement.

● 1.Tariff Elimination: CUFTA aims to eliminate or reduce tariffs on a wide range of
goods traded between Canada and Ukraine.
● 2.Government Procurement: CUFTA opens up opportunities for companies in both
countries to bid on government procurement contracts, promoting fair and open
competition.
● 3.Dispute Resolution: CUFTA includes mechanisms for resolving disputes between
the two countries, providing a structured and agreed-upon process for addressing
issues that may arise.

Canada-Ukraine bilateral trade reached its highest total ever in


2021.
Canada's merchandise exports to Ukraine totaled $219 million

million.
