Part of the optimisation stream of the OCDO
programme
• The objective was to create a standard approach to
process mapping of technical activities, identify
automation opportunities, which can be tested and their
impact measured
• Target is to drive 5% project profit year on year through
optimisation gains
• Six month project with GDS as delivery partner building
on our capabilities in digital as well as the two chosen
practices – geotechnics and building services
• Geotechnics process – instrumentation monitoring for
embankments
• Building services – model set-up including drawing sheet
creation, view creation, room bounding and parameter,
mapping
