The philosophy of Time Management (Brad Aeon)
When Brad suggested that philosophy helps with time management because it allows us to
ask important questions about time, I liked the idea. It also helps us realise that we have a
lot of time and that we can use it however we want because of how flexible life is now.
For example, If we want to watch something, we can just open up Netflix or if we want to
eat, we can just order it while on the other hand. Our ancestors hunted for food, while all
we have to do is just order it. We have way more time, we just need to use it wisely.

The antidote to Anger (Mike Goldman)
Mike realised what was driving him to have bad weeks and not be good to his son,
which was his anger and the way he thought. However, he began to think more
positively, which resulted in him having more good weeks and a healthy relationship
with his son. Another thought I liked was that you may manage your anger by simply
realising that others have difficulties too, that everyone goes through things, and that
simply changing the way you think can help a lot. Thinking more positively about
things can definitely help you be less angry and happier.

How to stay calm when you know you’ll be stressed
(Daniel Levitin)
Having specific locations where you keep items that you frequently forget about or lose so
that you don't lose them because you know you always leave them in a specific location.
Another thing I enjoyed was how he stated that we shouldn't make quick decisions
because we tend to do so when we're stressed, and that we should think well before
making a decision. He also stated that when you are stressed, your brain releases cortisol
(a stress hormone), which causes several systems in our body to shut down. It also causes
you to think in ways that are not rational or logical. This is why we must constantly
remain cool when making decisions.

How do you feel teens can apply these ideas to their life ?

Teens can apply time management in their life since we all have many things we have to do. We can
start by making a schedule in which we make sure there's a fair amount of time for every activity we
have to do. We also need to be able to manage time well so that we don’t fall back in our classes,
having overdue assignments, etc. Since it’s important that we hand in assignments, other work in class
on time to ensure that we are succeeding. We can also apply the anger antidote in our lives because
since we’re growing up, we go through different hormones and sometimes that affects our emotions
and makes us angry. However, This doesn't mean we can take it out on other people since everyone
has problems and if we just started to think like that and think with a positive intent. We won't be that
angry and would be much happier, which is good for us. We can also apply the staying calm in every
situation trick in our lives. To keep you calm, you basically just have to think of problems and the
solutions ahead of time so you won’t panic. We can set reminders on our phones of due dates of
assignments or summatives so that we won’t panic at the last minute and make sure that we have
completed the work on time.
