RINGKASAN ARTIKEL
Cash is becoming increasingly unpopular in
Sweden according to economic experts because
they can become a cashless society. One of the
reasons the Swedish state has gone cashless to
make payments is that the Swedish state has used a
mobile application developed by the Swedish and
Danish banks. It aims to maintain more security and
convenience to the people in Sweden. But this has a
negative impact. especially for the elderly who have
to get used to being without money and learn to
keep up with developments towards a
cashless society.

THESIS STATEMENT

Non-cash payments have proven to have many benefits for the Swedish people.

TOPIC SENTENCE + SUPPORTING IDEAS

● Transactions using non-cash payments are faster and there is an automatic transaction history Supporting : 1. For
example, payment for bus or train transportation in Sweden is now faster after using the chashless system. By
utilising the online banking system registered in the application, tickets can be purchased directly in
the form of QR codes which can later be scanned in buses and trains. This system is proven to be fast
because it makes no queues when making payments.
2. if you use a digital wallet, the entire transaction history has been recorded
automatically. So, you can easily see and monitor what transactions have been made before. Because
of that, Swedish people are also easier to manage their finances.

● Non-cash payments are also more practical to carry anywhere and safer than cash payments.
Supporting : 1. Just by carrying a small thin card or using an application on your mobile phone,
you can already carry large amounts of money without hassle.
2. There is also no need to worry about crimes such as pickpocketing theft because it is in
the form of electronic money. In Sweden, all payment transactions require verification with a digital
token or in the form of an application.
Cashless payments have had many impacts on Swedish society. One of the impacts is the reduction in the use of cash, so
that last year the Swedish government only circulated 80 billion in cash. The reason why Sweden does not use cash is because of the non-
cash payment mobile application that was developed and aims to further maintain the safety and convenience of the Swedish people. These
non-cash payments have proven to provide many benefits to the Swedish people.

Transactions using non-cash payments are faster and there is an automatic transaction history. For example, payment for
bus or train transportation in Sweden is now faster after using the chashless system. By utilising the online banking system registered in the
application, tickets can be purchased directly in the form of QR codes which can later be scanned in buses and trains. This system is
proven to be fast because it makes no queues when making payments. When making conventional transactions, it is also possible that you
have to record the history of payments that have been made yourself. This will definitely take longer. Meanwhile, if you use a digital
wallet, the entire transaction history has been recorded automatically. So, you can easily see and monitor what transactions have been made
before. Because of that, Swedish people are also easier to manage their finances.

Non-cash payments are also more practical to carry anywhere and safer than cash payments. Just by carrying a small thin
card or using an application on your mobile phone, you can already carry large amounts of money without hassle. There is also no need to
worry about crimes such as pickpocketing theft because it is in the form of electronic money. In Sweden, all payment transactions require
verification with a digital token or in the form of an application. This ensures greater security. Bank robberies in Sweden have also been
shown to have decreased dramatically in recent years as there is no cash in most banks in Sweden and branches continue to disappear.
Even company owners also feel safer without having cash in sight.

In conclusion, this cashless payment is proven to provide many benefits to the Swedish people. These benefits such as
causing transactions to be faster and automatically get a transaction history, more practical to carry anywhere and safer compared to
transactions with cash. The cashless system in Sweden should be maintained because it has many benefits for the community, especially it
can reduce crimes such as theft. Hopefully this cashless payment system can be followed by other countries and can be used and useful for
everyone.
