This document outlines a study investigating the challenges faced by Namibia's National Tourism Board (NTB) in collecting tourism levies. The study aims to identify challenges experienced by NTB in revenue collection, how NTB overcomes these challenges, and approaches to enhance revenue collection. A literature review of 5 sources is conducted. The research will use a descriptive design and mixed methods to collect both statistical and descriptive data from randomly sampled NTB employees in Windhoek through surveys and interviews.

Research design • This research will be descriptive in nature. This is because of the relevance of getting information about the study and the aim of the study will be to describe the current condition of the problems that face NTB to collect revenue. Research methods • The researcher will be used a mixed methods research methodology. The mixed methods research will enable the researcher to use collect both statistical and descriptive data. Population sampling methods • The target population of this study is employees from National Tourism Board head offices in Windhoek. The researcher will use stratified random sampling to select samples from the target population.
