Lates Time Scales
(Attosecond)
2023
Background
A researcher from ETH Zurich, Hans Jakob Woerner told AFP
that the attosecond is the shortest time scale that can be measured
directly.
Why are attoseconds needed?
The ability to operate on this time scale is important because the
attosecond is the speed at which electrons operate. This means
that research into attoseconds gives scientists access to
previously unexplored fundamental processes. All electronics is
mediated by the movement of electrons. Meanwhile, according
to Woerner, currently the known speed limit is nanoseconds.
Plan

The first thing we do is discuss

what latest invention we will
discuss. After that, we will make a
video presentation explaining the
invention.
Conclusion

Research by ETH Zurich's Hans Jakob Woerner highlights attoseconds as the

shortest directly measurable time scale, crucial for understanding electron
behavior. This research provides new insights into fundamental processes
previously unknown. Despite the known nanosecond speed limit, attosecond
research offers potential for deeper understanding. Our next steps include
discussing updates and creating a video presentation.
