contained violations of communication
ethics as indicated by expressions of

Result and Discussion

Based on the explanation above, it is

known that communication ethics by
IKKS group members is still not
implemented properly. This is because of
the influence of culture and social
background. Indonesia has a variety of
cultures so that the cultural aspects of
communication ethics are values that have
been formed from the habits born of a
group people. These habits are agreed
upon and carried aout continuously in
daily life so that they become a culture or
habit in communicating.
Conclusion

Members of the facebook group for Information on Events in the

City and District of Sorong basically understand the ethics of using
social media. Even though it is difficult to understand, there are still
communication ethics that have not been implemented by the Sorong
millennials in communication on social media.
Several factors cause people to violate communication ethics are:
The form of violation committed has become a habit among
community groups; the person’s ethical standars are different from
society at large; lack of social awareness to reprimand so that
perpetrators of violations continue to repeat them without feeling
guilty; and person’s emotional condition can make people not think
long enough to immediately write their frustations on Facebook.
