DEFORESTATION

RESOLVE CONFLICT
PRESENTED BY: ANTONETTE A. TABALWAN

Deforestation refers to the decrease in forest areas

across the world that are lost for other uses such
as agricultural croplands, urbanization, or mining
activities.
Before we know what are the thing to resolve conflict
the deforestation. Lets first talk about what are the
causes and effects of deforestation?

CAUSES  The cause of deforestation refers to the underlying factors and

1. Cutting trees human activities that lead to the large-scale removal or clearing of
forests. These causes include agricultural expansion, logging,
2. Logging
infrastructure development, mining operations, urbanization, and
3. Mining wildfires, among others. Understanding the causes is crucial for
4. Overpopulation developing strategies to address and mitigate the environmental,
5. Palm oil social, and economic impacts associated with deforestation.

EFFECTS
 Deforestation has wide-ranging environmental and social
.
1. Climate change effects. Some key impacts include loss of biodiversity,
2. Wildlife extinction disruption of ecosystems, climate change contribution, soil
3. Soil erosion erosion, altered water cycles, and negative effects on local
4. Greenhouse effect communities that depend on forests for their livelihoods. The
interconnected nature of these effects underscores the
5. Biodiversity looses importance of sustainable forest management.
HOW TO RESOLVE CONFLICT
DEFORESTATION?
1 PLANTING TREES
By planting trees in areas that have been
deforested or devoid of forests, we can unlock a
range of positive effects. From combating
climate change to fostering biodiversity,
reforestation holds the key to a healthier planet
and thriving communities.
2 USE LESS PAPER
By using energy use and climate change emissions,
limit water, air and other less paper, you can reduce
your impact on forests, cut pollution and produce
less waste.
3 USED RECYCLE PRODUCTS
Benefits of using recycled paper is that it saves trees
and forests. Trees are essential for the health of the
planet, as they provide oxygen, store carbon,
prevent soil erosion, and support biodiversity.
However, trees are also cut down for paper
production at an alarming rate.
4 REDUCED MEAT CONSUMPTION
Eating less meat can help reduce pressure on forests and
land used to grow animal feed, which in turn protects
biodiversity, the earth's ecosystems, and people living in
poverty who are bearing the brunt of climate change.
Eating less meat means eating foods that are plant-based
rather than those that are animal-based.
5 EDUCATE PROGRAMS
Educate communities about the importance of
forests and sustainable practices to create a
sense of responsibility towards conversation.
