Answer this question: How can

the sudden change in
communicative strategy in a
conversation affect the quality of
interaction, the speaker-audience
relationship, the role and
responsibilities of the speaker, the
message, and the delivery?
Quality of interaction
• This paper aimed to examine how signals of conversation
strategies enhance the quality of speeches and conversations
regarding the choice of strategies (asking, proposing, checking,
waist time, turn taking etc.) Movie clips from the New
Intercharge course book where choosen and considered as a
materials of the study.
• The importance of conversation to our normative life is
increasingly evident. Everything you do, say and present is a
conversation of the opportunity for a conversation: What you
say about networking event, your website ,your business
card,at a meeting or event.
The speaker audience relationship
• The report of the research committee of the National
Association of Academic teachers of Public Speaking which
appears in the first volume (1915) of the Quarterly Journal of
Public Speaking contains the following suggested research
topic: An experimental investigation to determine the what
processes are most valuable in the preparation and the
delivery of address in order to secure certain definite results
in the audience. The present article is not the "experimental
investigation," neither does it deal with the preparation of
speeches. Believing that objective experimental evidence will
more and more engage the attention of the profession, this
paper attempts to give definite formulation to those esentials
underlying the "processes" involved in the delivery of
addresses.
