INTRODUCTION
Wastewater is created by human
activities; it is catastrophic to the
environment and can also cause loss of water
in places where the water is short. When
wastewater contaminates any water table or
water bodies it makes the water resource
futile. Thus, it is all-important that
wastewater is treated before it released into
the environment in line with the
environmental national regulations.
OBJECTIVE
Bring down the pollutants to less than
maximum permissible limits to prevent the
threat to the environment and human health.
IMPLEMENTATION OF
PROCEDURE
Pre-treatment
A process in which the physical removal of solids through
screening in the main canal stream going to WWTF.
On the other phase, the treated water will flow to pipeline that
lead to Aeration Pond 1.
Separation of the microorganisms from the treated wastewater (treated
effluent), usually by sedimentation or gravity settling, and the
subsequent recycling of the separated microorganisms (activated sludge)
to the reactor (aeration tank).
Summary:
DAF Cell aerates with controlled air producing fine bubbles
making the solids in water float; dosed Polyaluminum
chloride (PAC) as coagulant and Polymer as flocculant will
bind the remaining small-scale solids that override from
pre-treatment process.
