semantics vs syntax
semantics vs syntax

the ambiguity is not because of the words but because of the structure. this level of ambiguity is named
structural ambiguity, which actually the part of syntax not semantic
semantics vs syntax
“meet me at the bank”

bank as ‘finalcial institution’ or bank ‘along the river’

in this example, the ambiguity is semantic and due to lexical ambiguity.

the ambiguity is not because of the structure but because of the word bank
where bank has multiple meanings (polysemy)
semantics vs syntax

semantics: polisemy, lexical ambiguity

syntax: structural ambiguity
