The Spirit
INTRODUCTION:
•Begin by welcoming the
congregation into the presence of the
Holy Spirit.
•Who among you love to go
swimming?
• How would you like to stay in the
ankle-deep water while you go
swimming? Nobody?
•The Prophet Ezekiel mentioned
about the vision of water that
flow from the temple of God.

•Four times the water has been

measured its level.
 • The man brought me back to the
entrance to the temple, and I saw
water coming out from under the
threshold of the temple toward the
east (for the temple faced east). The
water was coming down from under
the south side of the temple, south of
the altar.
 •2 He then brought me out
through the north gate and
led me around the outside to
the outer gate facing east,
and the water was trickling
from the south side.
•v3 As the man went eastward
with a measuring line in his
hand, he measured off a
thousand cubits[a] and then led
me through water that was
ankle-deep.

thousand, but now it was a river
that I could not cross, because the
water had risen and was deep
enough to swim in—a river that

“Son of man, do you see this?”
God expressing His desire
for us to dive into a
meaningful exploration to
deepen our spiritual
journey with God.
The prophet sees a river flowing
from the temple, representing the
spiritual depth and abundance of
grace and abundance of love
available to all of us.
1.What is the significant of
the river in our lives?
1. The river symbolizes life
from God and the blessing
that flow from the throne.
Revelation 22:1-2 said
V1”Then the angel showed me
the river of the water of life, as
clear as crystal, flowing from
the throne of God and of the
Lamb.
 •v2 down the middle of the
great street of the city. On
each side of the river stood the
tree of life, bearing twelve
crops of fruit, yielding its fruit
every month”
 Psalms 46:4
There is a river whose
streams make glad
the city of God, the holy
place where the Most High
dwells.
 SPIRITUAL MEASUREMENT:

I. Ankle-Deep Waters
The Invitation to Encounter
God in your life. Many people
did not know that Jesus is real
and alive living in the inside.
•Two impediments
preventing the woman from
receiving Christ.
1. She did not know
2. She did not percieve
•John 4:10
Jesus answered her, “If you knew the
gift of God and who it is that asks you
for a drink, you would have asked
Him and he would have given you
living water.”
•The ankle-deep experience
-this was the initial stages of
our journey with God.
-This is the first steps in seeking a
deeper encounter with God and the
Holy Spirit.
•The Ankle-deep experience
- was the moment of my life
that I first in love with the
Lord Jesus. I found Him a
lover of my soul.
•I was curious and eager to know
more about Jesus
•When Jesus begun talking to her,
the difference of physical water and
spiritual she become curious she
said:
“Sir, give me this water, so that I will
not be thirsty or have to come here to
draw water.” Jn.4:15

•To know Him is the cry of heart
Spirit reveal Him to me
to hear what He’s saying
bring life to my soul
to know Him to know Him alone
II. Knee-Deep Waters:
Surrender and Submission
 “He measured off another
thousand cubits and led me
through water that was knee-
deep.
Knee-deep waters
- signifying a deeper level of
commitment.
- the need for surrender
and submission to God's
will.
•This is the moment in life that we
surrender our life to Jesus
- we surrender our stubborn heart,
our will “ Your will be done Lord /I
surrender all
- this is the moment that we submit
to Jesus our future and everything
 Prov. 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your
heart and lean not on your own
understanding; in all your ways
submit to him, and he will make
your paths straight.
III. Waist-Deep Waters
Going Beyond Comfort
Zones: v4
This is the level of sacrificial love
and going beyond what is easy or
convenient.

This is the level of your life where

you can start to feel the burden for
the lost.
•This is the time of sacrificial
love and willingness to serve
others in the name of Jesus.
•The gradual deepening of the
water symbolizes the increasing
abundance and depth of God's
blessings, reaching to a point
where it becomes an
unstoppable river of life.
 • Ezekiel 47:5
Again, he measured a thousand, and
it was a river that I could not pass
through, for the water had risen. It
was deep enough to swim in, a river
that could not be passed through.
1V. The Deep water –
symbolizing the
abundance of the Holy
Spirit that we enjoy
everyday.
•Emphasize the
transformative power of the
Holy Spirit in every aspect of
life.
Let us dive ourselves into the
deep waters of God's
presence, experiencing the
fullness of His Spirit.
•Let us swim in the spirit and
dive deeper to enjoy God’s
fullness.
•This river of life that flows from
the throne of God is satisfying
water that satisfies our souls
