The Spirit
INTRODUCTION:
•Begin by welcoming the
congregation into the presence of the
Holy Spirit.
•Who among you love to go
swimming?
• How would you like to stay in the
ankle-deep water while you go
swimming? Nobody?
•The Prophet Ezekiel mentioned
about the vision of water that
flow from the temple of God.
I. Ankle-Deep Waters
The Invitation to Encounter
God in your life. Many people
did not know that Jesus is real
and alive living in the inside.
•Two impediments
preventing the woman from
receiving Christ.
1. She did not know
2. She did not percieve
•John 4:10
Jesus answered her, “If you knew the
gift of God and who it is that asks you
for a drink, you would have asked
Him and he would have given you
living water.”
•The ankle-deep experience
-this was the initial stages of
our journey with God.
-This is the first steps in seeking a
deeper encounter with God and the
Holy Spirit.
•The Ankle-deep experience
- was the moment of my life
that I first in love with the
Lord Jesus. I found Him a
lover of my soul.
•I was curious and eager to know
more about Jesus
•When Jesus begun talking to her,
the difference of physical water and
spiritual she become curious she
said:
“Sir, give me this water, so that I will
not be thirsty or have to come here to
draw water.” Jn.4:15

•To know Him is the cry of heart
Spirit reveal Him to me
to hear what He’s saying
bring life to my soul
to know Him to know Him alone
II. Knee-Deep Waters:
Surrender and Submission
“He measured off another
thousand cubits and led me
through water that was knee-
deep.
Knee-deep waters
- signifying a deeper level of
commitment.
- the need for surrender
and submission to God's
will.
•This is the moment in life that we
surrender our life to Jesus
- we surrender our stubborn heart,
our will “ Your will be done Lord /I
surrender all
- this is the moment that we submit
to Jesus our future and everything
Prov. 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your
heart and lean not on your own
understanding; in all your ways
submit to him, and he will make
your paths straight.
III. Waist-Deep Waters
Going Beyond Comfort

This is the level of sacrificial love
and going beyond what is easy or
convenient.
