• The meaning of schizophrenia
• Types and treatments
• Causes of schizophrenia
• Negative impacts on mental health
Introduction

There are some individuals that are facing mental health issues and are
unable to live a stable life. Some are facing health problems or some are
fearing external and internal threats. There are also few who have been
facing mental distress as well and cannot handle or cater such problems.
One of the problems is schizophrenia and one percent of the total
population is indulged in such a condition. The main goal of this
presentation is to transfer knowledge related to schizophrenia and how
can it be treated. There is a saying that is related to schizophrenia.

Definition
Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that negatively impacts an
individuals way of thinking and socializing. It brings in different
symptoms in a persons behavior like hallucinations, delusions,
disorganized thoughts and difficulties in socializing. This can only be
treated with proper diagnose as it is rare condition a where a person
perceives things in a faulty manner. He or she is cannot distinguish
fantasies and reality in such a condition. There are different types and
causes of such condition and the ways it can be treated.
Causes
It is caused by
• Mixture of genetic , environmental and neurochemical factors

• Abnormal structure of the brain

• Different complications and fatigues

• Immense prevention
Symptoms
Schizophrenia has the following symptoms
• Lack of satisfaction
• Change in sleeping patterns
• No proper communication
• Lack of hygiene and grooming
• Feeling uncomfortable around others
• Cant think normally
• Being lost in one’s thoughts
Types of Schizophrenia
Following types prevails from person to person
1. Paranoid schizophrenia:
It is caused when a person doesn’t trusts others and feel suspicious about others.
This includes delusions and hallucinations.

2. Disorganized Schizophrenia:
People having such type ,don’t speaks properly, has disorganized thoughts
and their emotional responses do not match with the context or the situation

3. Catatonic Schizophrenia:
This type involves a change in body muscles, body movements and
abnormal behaviors. This effects the overall coordination of the body and the way it moves with the
support of muscles.

Schizophrenia is a type of illness that occurs when it makes connections
with other illnesses. In brief It can be stated that a person develops
different types of mental illnesses with schizophrenia like depression ,
anxiety, OCD and PTSD. Other than this , schizophrenia can cause loss
of interest and feeling of hopelessness that makes a person to bring
suicidal or negative thoughts.
Impacts Of Schizophrenia on one’s behavior
Schizophrenia results in
• depressed thinking
• Decreases cognitive or mental abilities
• Increases the chances of a stroke or cardiac arrest
• One would start to isolate himself or herself from others
• Causes a financial burden
• Difficult for a person to pursue a job or look for education
Treatment of schizophrenia
Treatment for schizophrenia includes the use of medications , therapy
and support. It is prescribed to use neuroleptic medicine that lessens the
effects of hallucinations and delusions. Other types of treatment
includes various kinds of CBT’s that helps the individual to attain
coping strategies which helps oneself to improve communication skills
and can manage stress as well. It can also be treated by the support of
“CMHTs” that provides tips on how to become independent or
encourages the use of drugs in order to control specific symptoms by
activating neurotransmitter brain cells and causing the person to feel
good.
Conclusion
It can be concluded that this illness has a huge impact on a persons way
of thinking , emotions and behavior. On the other hand , there is no real
cause of schizophrenia ,however the researchers suggests that a person
should be properly diagnosed to reduce the effects on mental and
physical health and it is mandatory to consult healthcare specialist as
they know how to eradicate such problem. Lastly, a person who is well
treated can full his or her lives and will fell hopeful in achieving his or
her long-term goals. Moreover , it will strengthen the mutual relations
with others and the person will also feel good as well as he or she is
getting support from others.
