ELLIPSE
HOW TO DRAW THE ISOMETRIC VIEW OF A CIRCLE
TOP

In an isometric
projection, a circle
appears as an ellipse.
ISOMETRIC
It can be drawn in
isometric view using
a four-center ellipse
method.

DRAWING A FOUR - CENTER ELLIPSE – OPTION 1
1

Draw the isometric view of

the square (an equilateral
parallelogram with sides
equal to the diameter of the
circle).

Mark the midpoint of each

line and draw a
perpendicular line from each.

radius R, from the intersections
of the perpendiculars in the
two closest corners of the
parallelogram.
