Title: Investigating the influence of employee job

satisfaction in the information technology sector in
Thimphu, Bhutan
Problem statement

• Studies on the Indian Technology sector have revealed that employee satisfaction is currently at a moderate level (Prasad et al., 2020).
• However, based on the role and responsibility of professionals, the satisfaction rate varies as Release Engineers have demonstrated a
slightly lower satisfaction than iOS developers (BS Web Team, 2023).
• In the case of Infosys, the adoption of transformational leadership has demonstrated a 91% job satisfaction rate (Infosys, 2024) (Infosys,
2023).
• Researcher Sunarsi et al., (2019) found that abusive leadership behaviour always affects employee satisfaction and leads to turnover
intention.
• Researcher Moghadam, Mohammadi & Bazaey (2020) has informed that both transformational and transactional leadership are critical for
employee job satisfaction in technology industries.
