O’CLOCK :

“It is eleven o’clock”

“Los cuartos de hora” we express with:
“A quarter”

Example: “It’s a quarter ……….. ten”

“TO” “para” or

“PAST ” “y”
Look at the examples:

IT´S A QUARTER TO TEN

IT’S A QUARTER PAST TEN

we use:
“A half past”

Example: “It’s half past ten”

To express other times

Examples:

“It’s twelve five” It’s eight fifty

It´s five past twelve It’s ten to nine
To express other times

Examples:

it’s one ten It´s one thirty five

It’s ten past one It’s twenty five to two
To express other times
We use:
it’s …….+ past / It’s……… to + hour

Examples:

“It’s five past twelve” It’s eleven to nine”
