 Summary: Question types
 Gist content and gist purpose  main ideas, why? questions (usually the 1st
ones)
 Detail questions  usually what? questions
 Connecting content  usually tables to fill out
 Understanding function (what for?), speaker’s attitude, making inferences 
why the speaker says something, infer, imply, go beyond ( not directly stated in
the listening)
