Traditional Arts
• Bearers of traditional arts can be nominated as
Gawad Manlilikha ng Bayan (GAMABA), equal to National
Artist. And this are artistic activities such as music, dance, and crafts
that are passed down from one generation to the next within families
and communities and are regarded by the community as part of their
heritage. Traditional art could really be anything not digitally
generated.
Maritime transport -is the transport of people
(passengers) or goods (cargo)
via waterways. Freights transport by sea has been
widely used throughout recorded history
Weaving- is culture, identity, and way of life
for some of the most illustrious indigenous
communities in the Philippines.
Carving- is a tradition dating back to pre-colonial times. It
has fascinated a lot of people and Filipinos have been
influenced by different cultures that make our woodcraft
unique.

Folk performing arts- are basically arts or skills
that require a performance in front of a public
audience.

Types of Filipino dance

• Cordillera

Cordillera, a name given by the Spanish Conquistadors
when they first saw the mountain ranges. Meaning "knotted
rope", the Spanish term refers to the jumbled rolls and dips of
this long-range traversing the northern part of Luzon Island .
Muslim dance
is performed with women wearing malong/shawl,
mantle or head piece, whereas men wear sash/waist
band, shorts or bahag and head gear or turban
traditionally worn in the fields.
Tribal Dance includes the repertory of
sacred and secular traditional dances of the
Philippines, notable for its combination of grace
and vigor.

• During Word War II, some painters focused their

scenes, destruction and the suffering of the
Filipino people.

refers to ceramic arts and pottery designed or
produced as a form of Philippine arts. The tradition
of Philippine ceramics dates back to the third
