What is volleyball

 Volleyball is a popular team sport played by two teams,


each consisting of six players on an indoor court
divided by a net. The objective of the game is to score
points by sending the ball over the net and into the
opponent's court in a way that it cannot be returned
effectively.
1. Court: A standard indoor volleyball court measures 18
meters (59 feet) in length and 9 meters (29.5 feet) in width.

2. Teams: Each team consists of six players on the court at

3. Scoring: Points are scored when a team successfully sends


the ball over the net and into the opponent's court, causing
the ball to hit the floor or by forcing the opponents to make
an error.
1. Serving: A point begins with a serve, where a player stands behind the back
boundary line and sends the ball over the net to the opposing team.

2. Passing: Once the ball is served, the receiving team has three contacts (usually
pass, set, spike) to send the ball back over the net.

3. Rotation: Players rotate positions on the court after each point is scored,

attack.

5. Libero: In addition to the six players on the court, a team may have a libero, a
specialized defensive player who wears a different-colored jersey and has certain
restrictions and advantages.

accurate passes (sets) to them.
