KEYWORDS
For some time, it has been known that the human
brain can be divided into two parts. The left brain and
the right brain. It has also been known that the left
brain controls the right side of the body and that the
right brain controls the left side of the body. It has
also been discovered that when the left brain is
damaged, it will cause the right side of the body to
become paralyzed. Similarly, if the right brain is
damaged, it will cause the left side of the body to
become paralyzed. In other words, damage to one side
of the brain will cause the corresponding side of the
body to become paralyzed.

Why We Must Learn to Power Read?

POWER READING
…is a technique of reading that is designed
to increase your reading speed, also to
increase concentration and comprehension
of reading at the same time.
Why We Must Learn to Power Read?

Many people avoid reading fast because they

think that doing so will reduce their ability to
concentrate as well as comprehend what they are
reading.

In fact, the reason you have poor

concentration is because YOU READ TOO
SLOWLY!
Research has shown that our eyes and brain have
the ability to absorb over 20,000 words per
minute!

But most people read at the rate of only 200

words per minute, less than 1% of our true
potential.
The average college A "good" reading speed is

technical materials. minute or even faster.
The Eyes Have it.

What determines how fast you read?

And how can we increase our speed of reading?
The answer lies in the way our eyes move.
The Eyes Have it.

Our eyes must keep pausing in order for it to pick up

information and it is ¼ of a second to 1 second every
time we pause.

The more pause we make, the longer it takes and slower

our reading.

The KEY to Power Reading is to reduce the number of

pauses our eyes make as we read.
