CHAPTER IV
PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS, AND
INTERPRETATION OF DATA
 The presentation, analysis and interpretation of the data are divided into two parts, part
one deals with the respondent’s profile in terms of Age, Gender, Civil Status, Tribe
Affiliation, Highest Educational Attainment, Occupation. Part two, would like to know
the Correlation of these Factors as Follows, Family/Peer Environment, Social
Environment, Safety and Security, Health and Facilities, Economics and Livelihood
Program.
PART I. THE RESPONDENTS PROFILE
This part of the chapter includes the description of the Age, Gender, Civil Status, Tribe Affiliation, Highest Educational Attainment, Occupation of the respected respondent.

Table 1 shows that out of ninety (90%) respondents twenty-eight (28) or 31.1% of them are both in the bracket of age 21- 23 years old followed by, eighteen (18) or 20.0% are in the age of bracket between 31-40 years old, sixteen (16) or 17.8% are age 40 and above 17.8%, eleven (11) or 12.2% are in the age of 18 - 20 years old, nine (9)
or 10.0% are in the age of 24- 25 years old. And lastly, the lowest age of the respondent is eight (8) or 8.9%.
According to the findings. Majority of the respondent are at the stage of adulthood which implies that in between of the age 21- 23 years’ old got the response to the conducted questionnaires.

Table 2 shows that out of ninety (90) respondents, sixty-six (66) or 73.3% of them are male, and twenty-six (26) or 26.7% are female.
Findings implies that majority of the respondents are male in the five barangays in Maranatao, Lanao del Sur as they response to the given questionnaire.

Table 3 shows that out of ninety (90) respondents, forty (40) or 44.4% are Single followed by thirty-one (31) or 34.4% are married, eleven (11) or 12.2% are widow, and lastly. Eight (8) or 8.9% are separated.
Findings implies that majority of the respondents has a civil status of Single. On the other hand, the lowest result is Separated that is according to the given questionnaire.

Table 4 shows that out of ninety (90) respondents, eighty-tree (83) of them or 92.2% are belong to Meranaw tribe and, five 5 or 5.6% are belong to Maguindanao. Also, two (2) or 2.2 are the lowest result according to the given questionnaire

Educational Attainment
Table 5 shows that out of ninety (90) respondents, forty-nine (49) or 54.4% are both in the College Level while twenty-four or 26.7% of them are High- school level followed by, nine (9) or 10.0% are College Graduate, four (4) or 4.4 are High school graduate, two (2) or 2.2% are Elementary Graduate, two (2) or 2.2% are Elementary Level.
Findings shows the strong relationship with regards to their Educational Attainment, and it leads to how they response to the questionnaire, moreover. Majority of the respondent are College level while the lowest are Elementary level and Elementary graduate.

Table 8 shows that out of ninety (90) respondents, thirty-eight (38) or 42.2% are non-government employee followed by, eighteen (18) or 20.0 are student/housewife, thirteen (13) or 14.4% are Business owner/ self-employed, twelve (12) or 13.3 % are fisher folks, and lastly, the lowest got nine (9) or 10.0%.
Findings shows that majority of the respondent are non-government employee in which may have the correlation in the study of factors affecting Meranaw community in preserving cultural heritage in their respective barangay.

PART II. SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT AND ITS IMPACT
TO THE RESIDENTS IN BARANGAY IN PAPANDAYAN
MARAWI CITY.

 This part of the chapter includes the weighted Mean, Verbal Interpretation, rank as
presented with the factors may involve such as follows; Family Environment, Social
Environment, Safety and Security, Health and Facilities, Economics and Livelihood
Program and to see if there’s a Correlation Analysis between the Demographic Profile
of the Respondent.

the highest rank was “In terms of social environment, the community has a good relationship towards to each
other.” with the weighted mean of (2.46) as to interpret with the verbal Interpretation (Yes). However,

everything is possible and some of this reason has may connected to our daily routine by using social media
that change how we see the situation into changing what we thought is right

highest rank was “Papandayan is one of the safest barangays in marawi city.” With the weighted mean of (2.40)
as to interpret with the verbal Interpretation (Yes). However,

the data result.

CHAPTER V
SUMMARY, FINDINGS, CONCLUSION AND
RECOMMENDATION
SUMMARY
 The study was conducted to find out how may affect the improper waste disposal in the barangay Papandayan, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur.

Certain factors to deliberate the result in conducting the study such as Family/Peer Environment, Social Environment, Safety and Security, Health and

Facilities, Economic and Livelihood program. This includes ninety (90) respondents from its respective barangays. However,

in Brangay papandayan, Marawi citty, Lanao del Sur.In June 15, 2018 the International issues in Improper Garbage disposal are one of the main social

issues that needs to address, Philippines has 3 rd largest contributor to ocean plastic pollution. this shows that our country has the highest contribution of

pollution is waste management (Delon Porcalla, The Philippin star).

 In terms of statistical treatment, simple frequency distribution, percentage computation, weighted mean, and Persons “Chi square” are used as the

basis of gathering information about the respondent’s profile and their responses for the areas and reasons knowing the answer between the problem in

social issues such as in improper waste disposal and how my affect them to their basic lives. scaling and interval to get the verbal interpretation.

 Out of clear and sound transparent distribution of questionnaire in the Barangay Papandayan Marawi city, they were ninety (90) distributed

respectively. In total of ninety (90) expected questionnaire in which it utilized and executed.
FINDINGS
Based on the gathered data, out of ninety (90) respondents:

1. Majority of the respondents age range from 21- 23 years old with the frequency of twenty-eight (28) or 31.1%

2. Majority of the respondents are male with the frequency of sixty-six (66) or 73.3 %

3. Majority of the respondent, with the civil status of single supported with the data frequency of forty (40) or 44.4%.

4. Majority of the respondent are belonging to the tribe of Meranaw with the frequency of eighty-tree (83) or 92.2%

5. Majority of the respondents are belonging to the non-government employee with the frequency of thirty-eight (38) or 41.2%.

6. Most of the respondent response to the question under the factor of Family/Peer Environment and out of five (5) question the rank number one (1) was the question of “Our family has been

experiencing the natural calamities in Papandayan, Marawi city.” with the mean of 2.67 with the verbal interpretation of YES.

7. Most of the respondent response to the question under the factor of Social Environment and out of five (5) question the rank number one (1) was the question of “In terms of social

environment, the community has a good relationship towards to each other”. With the mean of 2.46 with the verbal interpretation of YES.

8. Most of the respondent response to the question under the factor of Safety and Security and out of five (5) question the rank number one (1) was the question of “Papandayan is one of the safest

barangays in marawi city.”. With the Mean of 2.40% with the verbal interpretation of YES.

9. Most of the respondent response to the question under the factor of Health and Facilities, and out of five (5) Gavin question the number 0ne (1) top rank was the question of “In collaboration

with LGU and the residents of Papandayan the implementation of safety and security provided by the officials has regularly supervised.”. With the Mean of 2.54 with the interpretation of

YES.

10. Most of the respondent response to the question under the factor Economic and Livelihood Program and out of five (5) Gavin question the rank number one (1) was the question of “facilities

and other equipment are well provided by the barangay officials to secure the health and safety of the community” with the Mean of 2.46 and has a verbal interpretation of YES.
CONCLUSION
 Itis therefore concluded that Barngay Papandayan, Marawi city has a
vital role in securing the health and safety of the community in Solid
waste Management and its Impact on residents in Barangay papandayan.
At this point, the effects among children, elderly senior citizen are most
vulnerable to diseases that may cause them to their health even their
social life in the community in which my lead them to limit their
economic livelihood to sustain their daily needs such as food, water, and
sanitation.
RECOMMENDATION

Based on the findings and the conclusion drawn thereof, the researcher gives the following recommendations.

1. To the upcoming future researcher who has the same reflective study similar to this case or study it is highly recommend looking for the other ideas or

other factors of the study.

2. To the community in barangay Papandayan we recommend creating an ordinance withing the barangay as you coordinately to official, leaders in the

community to ask further assistance and knowledge to help the green and clean community.

3. To the officials, LGU (local government unit) the researcher recommends having a at least have a collaborative effort to stablish a friendly community.

4. In the province of Lanao del Sur, official and authorities. The researcher recommends to at least have a regularly supervised the situation within the

barangay to provide more assistance on what they need in preserving the nature, green-environment, and a picture of community in which people are

confidently happy to communicate to other people to build camaraderie and socially aware in their surroundings.

5. Lastly, the researcher has a strong vision to have faith and hope to the community to stay high and to be grateful that one day the problem in solid waste

management will be soon fine and my address to the authorizes in the city office of Marawi.
