Mercerising Range

Housing segments consist of stainless steel material All bottom rolls are fixed steel construction and rotates on flange type sealed bearings Two adjacent bottom rollers support a rubber covered roller and forms a pool of liquor for better impregnation Rotary drum filter with circulation pump system with level management automation for caustic level

Indirect heating for caustic outside the tank (optional) for hot mercerization Complete impregnation is divided into number of section as per production requirement Caustic spray pipes between two rubber rollers High efficiency squeezer at outlet Very low contact free fabric flow which provides very low width shrinkage

Mercersing is a very important preparatory process for cotton fabric. Process involves the treatment of cotton fabrics with caustic soda having a concentration of 215-255gm/kg under maximum tension. It is done at room temperature and the reaction time is between 40 to 60 secs. The process results in swelling of cotton fibres which is mercerizing.
