His career through the years

The beginning of his career

checo began his career like his teammates, he starts in little sport competitions
in go karting, at only 6 years he finished his first season in second place with
four victories

Years later he won many competitions.

By winning major races, important contracts, he managed to go live in the uk,
after competing for Formula 3, he leveled up and managed to participate in
Formula 1.

After winning many races in f3, checo passed to formula 1 where he dominated
his first race in the GP2 Asia series, and he finished the season as runner-up.
 His begining in formula 1

Sergio dominated his first season in formula 1 with Sauber team and he was the second
mexican to compete in formula 1 after hector rebaque in 1981, so checo quickly
acquired a great reputation as a driver.

The first podium of checo was in Malasia in 2012 wich was followed by other podiums
in canada and italy. And thanks to that he got a contract with Mc laren for the next
season.

He entered to force india in 2014, where he got the second podium of the team in
bahrein.

And his reputation got better in 2016 when he won 2 podiums in 3 races.
 His first win
After disappointing races, checo proved that he could win like a star in 2020. so a second place in
turkey was followed by a first place in Bahrein, where he proved his goal: to be a great driver and try to
be world champion for the next season.

He won in bahrein after beginning it in last place and finished in first place, it was something amazing
for him, his team, and for all of the other teams in the race.

With the podium, checo won a contract with Oracle red bull Racing team,
one of the most popular team in formula 1. he accepted with a lot of pride
and he has been there since 2021.
 The beginning of a new era

In red Bull checo won more races and podiums, wich some of them share with his
actual teammate Max Verstappen.
Checo won his first race with the team in monaco in 2021. He was very proud, and his
boss, was proud of him too.

In the brazilian gp in 2022, checo needed some points to win the world bichampion of
he season, but his teammate Max, did not let checo win those points, so charles Leclerc
won the title and checo was disappointed.

Thanks to that problem, checo and max do not have a Good friendship. Now they
discuss and fight in every race for the title of world champion in formula 1.
