BIOLOGICAL

ORGANIZATION
Objective
• Describe the different levels of biological
organization from cell to biosphere.
What does biology mean?
Branch of science which deals with the
study of life of all the organisms on Earth.

Cell- the basic unit of life.
Tissue- a group of cells
performing similar function.
Organ- a group of tissues
performing similar function.
Organ system- a group of
organs performing similar
function.
Organism- an individual
living thing.
Population- group of
organisms of one type that
live in the same area.
Community- population that
live together in a defined
area. It contains the different
species in that area.
Ecosystem- is composed of a
community and its nonliving
surroundings.

Earth that contains all
