ACTIVITY 2: TOWN MAP
 During the Romanesque period, each town had its own church
which is the heart of the town. People congregated around the
church. Businesses sprouted at the periphery of the church. These
towns were protected by the feudal lord. This setup is very similar
to the layout of many Philippine towns and cities during the
Spanish colonial era.
DIRECTION: CREATE A MAP OF YOUR TOWN, INDICATE THE
IMPORTANT BUILDINGS TO THE COMMUNITY, AND WRITE AN ESSAY
COMPARING YOUR TOWN’S LAYOUT WITH THAT OF THE LAYOUT OF
THE CITIES DURING THE ROMANESQUE PERIOD AND THE SPANISH
COLONIAL PLAZAS IN THE PHILIPPINES.
