RESEARCH
PROBLEM
ELEMENTS:
4. The period or time of the study during which the data are to be
gathered: School year 2023-2024.

5. Population or universe from whom the data are to be collected:

NNVS ABM students.

THE STUDY:
Stress, which can affect both the body and mind, happens when people face too much
pressure they can't handle. Previous studies show that things like school life, money
problems, and relationships can make students' grades drop and make them lose
motivation. This is why we're looking into what stresses out NNVS ABM students and
how it affects their school and personal lives in the 2023-2024 school year.

PROBLEM
ELEMENTS:
4. THE PERIOD OR TIME OF THE STUDY DURING WHICH THE
DATA ARE TO BE GATHERED: SCHOOL YEAR 2023-2024.

5. POPULATION OR UNIVERSE FROM WHOM THE DATA ARE

TO BE COLLECTED: NNVS ABM STUDENTS.
BACKGROUND OF
THE STUDY:
Mathematics is a vital subject that provides students with basic knowledge and abilities
needed to manage their lives. However, previous research has shown that many ABM
students struggle with various mathematical concepts, such as rationalizing equations and
interpreting them accurately. Moreover, international assessments have revealed low levels
of mathematical proficiency among Filipino students, highlighting the need to investigate
math challenges specifically within the Accounting strand of NNVS.

BACKGROUND OF
THE STUDY:
Previous research underscores multilingualism's benefits, like improved communication
and academic skills. But, there aren't many studies about this in the Philippines. This study
wants to find out how knowing different languages affects how well NNVS Grade 11
students do in school and how they talk to each other. By doing this, we hope to learn more
about how students learn when they can speak different languages, which isn't studied
much yet.
