Women Safety Device

Introduction
• Even in this era women are feeling insecure to step out house because of
increase in crimes . Many women are working in corporate sectors during
night shifts . there is a feeling of insecurity among the working women.
• Technology helped to build a safety device for women which will generate
a emergency alert and will also send a message to concerned person.
• Women who carry this device can inform the police using SOS emergency
SMS along with current location . Using this information the police will
be able to save the victim.
• It is not only about the insecurity issues but also helps to get back to there
house if they lose their way to home.

Problem Definition
Despite advancements in technology, ensuring the safety of women,
particularly in vulnerable situations, remains a significant challenge.
Incidents of harassment, violence, and assault continue to occur,
highlighting the need for effective solutions to address this pervasive
issue. Existing safety measures often prove inadequate in providing
timely assistance or deterring potential threats effectively. Therefore,
there is a critical need for innovative solutions that leverage technology
to empower women, enhance their security, and create safer
environments for all.
Women Safety Device

Objectives
A women's safety device employing GPS and
GSM technology is designed with several key
objectives in mind.

1. To design a system which gets activated by pressing a

button and sends coordinates data to a pre-defined number
during any emergency situation.
2. Coordinates data is taken from the GPS module and sent to
pre-defined number through Arduino and GSM.
3. Enable real-time location tracking through GPS for quick
response from designated contacts or emergency responders.
Women Safety Device

Methodology
• Research: Conducting a comprehensive review of existing safety devices, technologies, and user needs
to inform the design process.
• Requirements Gathering: Identifying key requirements and specifications based on research findings and
stakeholder input.
• Design: Creating the device's architecture, including hardware and software components, user interface,
and communication protocols.
• Prototyping: Building prototypes to test the functionality, usability, and performance of the device.
• Testing: Conducting extensive testing, including GPS accuracy, GSM signal strength, panic button
responsiveness, and battery life.
• Iterative Refinement: Incorporating feedback from testing to refine the design, address any issues, and
improve overall performance.
• Evaluation: Assessing the device's effectiveness in enhancing women's safety and usability through user
feedback and field testing.
