Introduction

The advent of computer system and other information and communication technologies

have been experiencing continuous technology changes. In fact, distance is no longer the

barrier to communication. This advanced age as a result of development has been

christened “the information age” and soonest the space age technology will be finally

established. This change is so apparent in all aspect of man’s life. Many institutions like

financial institution, academic institution, health and banks are computerized.

 AIM ANDOBJECTIVES
AIM

The aim of this project is to design and implement an examination

timetable scheduling system for federal polytechnic Idah.
OBJECTIVES

The following are the objectives of this project:

1. To eliminate the existing manual system.

2. To implement an online exam timetable management system.

3. To develop a system that create room for easy amendment where there are
errors.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Generation examination Timetable is monotonous task for anyone with

esteem to time and workforce. The method of manual timetable procedure
claims substantial time and endeavors together with lots of paperwork as
well as omission and repetition of courses so there is need to automate
timetable scheduling system to completely eradicate the existing manual
system which comes with a lot of rigors.
 METHODOLOGY:
The web-based platforms timetable management system was written using VS Code text editor.
Front-end

HTML-(Hypertext Markup Language) this is used to create and save web document. E.g notepad.
CSS-(Cascading Style Sheets): this is used to create interactive layout.
JavaScript: this is a programming language, commonly use with web browsers.
Back-end:

MySQL- (Structured Query Language): this is a database, widely used for querying, accessing,
updating and managing data in database.
PHP-(Hypertext Preprocessor): this is a technology that allows software developers to create
dynamically generated types, as per client request. PHP is an open source software.
summary
The tremendous of electronic technology such as computer on the human
psychological capabilities and other related activities are obvious and as such
cannot be over emphasized. Based on the findings of this research work, despite
the identified challenges militating against the use of the new system, that it’s
successful implementation will go a long way to improve timetable allocation in
Federal Polytechnic Idah and related Institutions.
