times and crashes.

3. Some users have expressed concerns regarding the security and privacy of the
personal data that the app collects.

4. Use is restricted in rural regions since MySejahtera needs internet access to

operate, which is problematic in some parts of rural Malaysia.

5. Only valid for citizens of Malaysia.

 CHALLENGES
1. Adoption and usage: Despite being required of all Malaysian citizens and residents, a
sizable portion of people have not downloaded or utilized the app for a variety of reasons,
such as a lack of knowledge or confidence.

2. Data security and privacy: Some users have expressed worries about the app's handling of
their personal data.

3. Technical problems: The app has reportedly had technical issues, such as delayed loading
times or crashing.

4. Integration with other systems: MySejahtera was created to be integrated with other
services and systems provided by the government, such as the National Immunization
Registry.

5. Utilization is restricted in rural areas of Malaysia because MySejahtera needs internet

access to operate, which isn’t always possible.
 MAINTENANCE AND
SUPPORT OF THE
APPLICATION
More than a year after it was released to handle the Covid-19 outbreak,
the MySejahtera mobile app is still changing.

According to data, Dr. Mahesh Appanan, head of the Crisis Preparedness

and Response Centre (CPRC), when the app was first released in April
2020, it only had three main objectives: giving information, engaging in
participatory surveillance, and contact tracking.

He said that within 18 months, it had developed to offer things like

digital healthcare, point-of-entry surveillance, and vaccine information.
For optimal performance, MySejahtera has undergone over 200
upgrades, including 49 mobile updates.

Dr. Mahesh stated, “End-users might not be aware of this,” adding that
the team was aware of the difficulties users encountered,“, particularly in
relation to contacting the helpdesk service.
 CONCLUSION
In conclusion, MySejahtera has various functions that are very effective to
enable users to manage, monitor, and help each other so that they can comply
with SOP and report any early signs of the spread of Covid-19 to the
responsible party.

At the same time, it helps the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM) get early
information to take quick and effective action. For example, MySejahtera
also provides services to users to provide information to stakeholders about
the user's vaccination status and various other aspects related to it.

Not only that, the main purpose of the MySejahtera application is to help the
government control and contain the COVID-19 outbreak by letting users
keep track of their health conditions throughout the outbreak, assisting users
in receiving immediate medical attention if they are diagnosed with the
disease, and directing users to the closest medical facility for testing and
COVID-19 treatment.

This app is frequently used in this nation to check in when visiting new
locations using the QR code scanning technique, and it is now also used to
register for the nation's COVID-19 vaccination program. Therefore, all
parties can take note and pay particular attention so that the restrictions of
this virus outbreak can be controlled more effectively.
