Determination of Lime Requirement of soil

Liming of Soil:
Liming of soil is the application of calcium and magnesium rich materials in various
forms, including marl, chalk, limestone, burnt lime or hydrated lime.

Liming should be done for soil having pH below


5.5
Target soil pH values could be set at 6.5-7.0

The reaction that occur,
