The world today is interconnected more than ever,

making us all global citizens, responsible for the
myriad of challenges that face humanity. These
challenges, often referred to as global issues, cut
across national boundaries, affecting every
individual and society on the planet. They include
social, political, economic, and environmental
issues.
GEE 4 GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP
Group 2
Social issues encompass aspects like poverty, education,
health, and human rights, which directly impact the well-
being of individuals and communities. Political issues, on
the other hand, involve matters of governance, peace,
security, and international relations. Economic issues can
range from global trade, unemployment, debt, to economic
disparity and economic development. Environmental
issues cover areas such as climate change, biodiversity
loss, pollution, and sustainable development.
GEE 4 GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP
Group 2

As we move further into the 21st century, these

global issues continue to evolve, posing new
challenges that require innovative solutions.
Topics like climate change, digital privacy,
global health crises, and economic inequality
have become crucial issues of concern.
