ECONOMIC ISSUES
1.Economic Slowdown
A recession is a significant, widespread, and
prolonged downturn in economic activity. A
popular rule of thumb is that two consecutive
quarters of decline in gross domestic product
(GDP) constitute a recession.
1. Climate Change:
The Earth's changing climate patterns due to human
activities, such as greenhouse gas emissions, are causing
rising temperatures, extreme weather events, sea-level
rise, and disruptions to ecosystems. Climate change
poses risks to food security, water resources, public
health, and vulnerable communities.

7. Environmental Degradation:
The unsustainable use of natural resources,
deforestation, pollution, loss of biodiversity, and habitat

and the planet. Preserving and restoring ecosystems are
essential for maintaining biodiversity, mitigating climate
change, and ensuring the sustainability of natural
resources.

8. Water Scarcity:
The growing demand for freshwater, coupled with
pollution, climate change, and inefficient water
management, has led to water scarcity in many regions.
Ensuring access to clean water and sustainable water
management practices are crucial for human well-being,
agriculture, and ecosystem health.
3. Environmental Stewardship:
Recognizing the Earth as our shared home,
global citizens are committed to protecting the
environment.
7. Lifelong Learning:
Global citizens are committed to continuous
learning about the world and its complexities.
8. Responsible Consumption:
Recognizing the impact of their consumption
choices on the global economy and environment,
global citizens strive to make ethical and
sustainable choices in their daily lives, from
