how is it reproduced?
Copulation is carried out between both sexes by uniting
belly to belly. The gestation period is believed to last
between nine to twelve months. The females give birth
when the Amazon River is at its highest level, between the
months of May and July.
what is the reason for your
extinction?

Copulation This is due to several reasons such as.

Poaching of Pink Dolphin to use their meat as bait.
Chemical contamination of their hábitats due to chemical
spills of mercury from some mines that causes irreparable
damage to the ecosystem.
Traffic on the river and hearing damage since these Pink
Dolphins are curious and approach boats and are damaged
by the motor propellers. Along with this, the destruction of
watersheds causes excessive logging so that there is less space
left in their hábitat.
what does the Pink Dolphin feed
on?

The Pink Dolphin has the widest and broadest diet, it feeds
mainly on fish, among them are Corvinas, Tetras, river
turtles and crabs.
They usually feed themselves and are active during the day
and night. They consume about 5.5% of their body weight
per day. They are located near waterfalls and at the mouths
of rivers , at which time the schools of fish break up, making
them easier to capture. They Hunt in a coordinated manner.
They gather and atack schools of fish at the same time.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE
PINK DOLPHIN
When Pink dolphins are born they are gray.
When they become adults, they adquire a Pink color on their body.
It is the largest river Dolphin, the weight of adult males reaches 185 kg and they can
measure up to 2.5 meters.
Their ability to adapt allows them to live even in flooded forests during the rainy
season.
Females remain in flooded áreas longer than males, as it facilitates their access to
nutrition to feed during pregnancy, childbirth and lactation.
