Aurier’s Position
• There are many advantages to a common world language, things like better
communication, less conflicts, improved scientific research, more accurate history,
cultural mixing, and more unity.
LOGICAL CONSISTENCY

REASONS
• A common language would immediately improve international communication.
• The number of conflicts that turn into war would decrease greatly because people would be speaking the same.
• Currently we are in the age or technology and science, and a common world language could assist in the
advancement of it.
• If the world had a common language, then those countries would be able to communicate this history easier
than if they had to translate it into another language.
• Most importantly the world would become more united because of a common world language.
LOGICAL CONSISTENCY

Logical Consistency:
Reasons which make good sense.
In clear and consistent arguments, the reasons support the conclusion that the author draws from them.
1: A common language would immediately improve international communication.
• If all the people in the world use a common language there would be better communication between them.
• They easily understand each other.

2: The number of conflicts that turn into war would decrease greatly because people would be speaking the same.
• Part of being human involves conflicts, no matter how big or small there is bound to be a disagreement.
• Having a common language would assist in making peace.
• In World War Two there was an American General who was captured by German soldiers.
3: Currently we are in the age or technology and science, and a common world language could assist in the advancement
of it.
• Common language could encourage more collaboration between scientists.
• Then the newly discovered information could be spread easier because it could be published in a common language.

4: If the world had a common language, then those countries would be able to communicate this history easier than if they
had to translate it into another language.
• In America we have folklore unique to our culture just like other countries that have their own folklore or oral stories.
• If the world spoke one language, we would be able to share these stories to other cultures and vice versa.
5: Most importantly the world would become more united because of a common world language.
• Aesop, a Greek philosopher, once said “United we stand, divided we fall.”
• Once Rome divided the western part, the part with Rome, fell and the eastern half became the Byzantine
Empire. This split because of religious reasons and language, and is a factor to why the Roman Empire fell.
