DIMMER
TECHNICAL TERMS:
BRIGHTNESS The quality or state of giving out or reflecting
light.
TRIGGERING An electronic circuit which is used to
DEVICE control another electronic circuit.
BI DIRECTIONAL functioning in two directions
LIGHT DIMMER
This device controls the brightness of an
incandescent lamp bulb from completely OFF to
maximum brightness simply by means of a knob-
as if controlling the volume level of a radio.
LIGHT DIMMER
It was invented in New York City Apartment
by Joel Spira in 1959. His dimmer switch invention
patent and started in Lutron Electronics in 1961.
