Electrical
wiring/Electronic
EXPECTATIONS
A.Identify different ways in
terminating/connecting electronic
circuits correctly.
B.Draw soldered joints that are used in
terminating/connecting electronic
circuits.
C.Appreciate the value of making good
ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS
is a complete pathway or line
through where an electrical
current passes. When the path
of a circuit is closed the flow of
current is possible and when it
is open, there is no possible
BASIC SYMBOLS USED IN A SCHEMATIC
DIAGRAM
THE BASIC PARTS OF A CIRCUIT ARE
Conductors – Are Usually the wire where the
electric current flows. Best example of this is a
copper wire.
Switch – is one of the parts of an electric circuit
that opens and closes the flow of current.
Load – is the one that consumes the electric
current in a circuit.
Cell – is giving electric current to a circuit
MAKING SOLDERED JOINTS
DIFFERENT SOLDERED JOINTS
ACTIVITY
In a bond paper, draw one
soldering joint
EVALUATION
1. This is one of the basic parts of electronic
circuits where electrical current flows.
A. Cell C. Load B. Conductor D. Switch
2. Soldered joints that can be easily detached
because it is connected only by a solder.
A. Cross joints C. Twisted joints
B. Hook joints D. Wire and solder tag
3. This is one of the basic parts of electrical
wiring/electronic circuits that consume the
electrical current in a circuit.
A. Cell C. Load
B. Conductor D. Switch
4. All the following are examples of correct
soldered joints EXCEPT
A. Wire-to-wire joints as parallel C. A
mechanically strong connection
B. A consistent bright surface D. No holes
or inclusions in the surface.
5. What are the types of electrical
wiring/electronic circuits?
