WHAT IS
A
TRIANGLE
?
A triangle is a polygon with three
corners and three sides, one of
the basic shapes in geometry.
The corners, also called vertices,
are zero-dimensional points while
the sides connecting them, also
called edges, are one-dimensional
line segments.

Angle bisector of a Triangle
An angle bisector of a
triangle is a segment
contained in a ray,
which bisects the angle
of the triangle, and
whose endpoints are
the vertex of this angle
and a point on the
opposite side.
Altittude of a Triangle
A segment is altitude
of a triangle if and only
if it is perpendicular
from a vertex of the
triangle to the line that
contains the opposite
side.
Median of a Triangle
A segment is a
median of a triangle if
and only if its
endpoints are a vertex
and the midpoint of
the opposite side.
02 TYPES
OF TRIANGLE
TYPES OF TRIANGLE
by angle
Acute Triangle
0 A triangle with three acute
angles, meaning all three angles
1 are less than 90°
Right Triangle
0 A triangle with one obtuse angle,
meaning one angle is greater
2 than 90°
Obtuse Triangle
0 A triangle with one right angle,
meaning one angle is 90°
3
Equilateral Triangle
0 A triangle with three congruent
angles, meaning all three angles
4 are the same measure
TYPES OF TRIANGLE

03
sides congruent.
