Findings from Class Observation With related Description

Observation 1 Held in : SMP Negeri 13 Banjarbaru, 18th July 2011 At Class : (10.40-11.20) (11.20- 12.00) a.m. local time :8

The observation took with 80 minutes. Class started with greetings and teacher focused to students then warning-ups was followed by checking the roll. It was less than five minutes. The teacher no called each name of student only asked who was absent. In the pre-teaching-andteaching activities didnt spend much time. It took fifteen minutes. In the while teaching - and learning activities. The first time, the teacher introduced the lesson today, and then the teacher was as the teacher modeling. The teacher taught reading skill and gave a descriptive text. It took ten minutes. Then the teacher said the purpose of the lesson. In while activities, teacher gave many explanation of the descrivtive text. After that teacher asked student to find out difficult words. Teacher asked some question related to the text to students. It took more than ten minutes. In the reinforcement the teacher gave testimonial to her student. The teacher gave a conclusion and relied her lesson. After that teacher gave an evaluation for the lesson today. In while activities took much time. It took sixty minutes.

In the post-teaching-and-learning activities the teacher gave motivation to students. And finally the teacher gave home work. It all took five minutes.

The observation with 80 minutes. Class started with greetings and teacher focused to students then warning-ups was followed by checking the roll. It was less than five minutes. The teacher no called each name of student only asked who was absent. Then the teacher previewed their lesson. It took less than ten minutes. The observation took with 80 minutes. Class began with greeting and it followed by call the roll. The teacher called each name of students. In the class, there were two students absent. It took less than five minutes. The teacher preview the lesson by asking the student. It took three minutes. In pre teaching and learning activities took fifteen minutes In the while teaching and learning activities, teacher introduceed a new session. It took five minutes. The teacher asked the student to open their book and to find out about the lesson today. Then in the class management took teen minutes. In the teacher modeling the teacher was as model. The teacher teaching descriptive texts and read it. The teacher gave two example form of descriptive text. It took more than ten minutes. Then the students did oral practice of their reading skill before that teacher asked student to find out difficult words. The observation took with 80 minutes. The teacher started with greetings. And then, the teacher chcked the roll, it took five minutes. After that, the teacher asked to students about English lesson the last meet. it took fifteen minutes in pre teaching -and-learning activities. In the while teaching and-learning activities, the new lesson was introduceed, it took less than five minutes. Then teacher guided practicing, it took ten minutes. After that the teacher explained about the lesson and the purpose of the lesson, it took five minutes. In the question answer session. It took less than ten minutes. After that the teacher previewed their lesson at the last meet. It took less than ten minutes. In the while teaching and-learning activities, teacher intriduceed new session, it took less than 5 minutes. The teacher was as the teacher modeling, the teacher read the text and the asked student to find out difficult word and then discussed together. Teacher guided practicing to understand the text. The observation took with 80 minutes. In the pre-teaching-and-learning activities, the teacher started with greeeting. And then called the roll. There was no one students is absent. The teacher preview the last lesson. The pre-teaching-and-learning activities took fifteen minutes. In while teaching-and-learning activities started with introduction to new lesson by teacher. It took more than eight minutes. in lesson clearance the teacher took more than five minutes to read descriptive text and looked for difficult words, after that the teacher asked the student to read the text carefully. The teacher gave explained about generic of descriptive text and guided practicing. After that students practiced by themselves. It took time more than 10 minutes. Teacher gave

Teacher called the roll and three student were absent. The teacher asked to students about English lesson yesterday. It took ten minutes. In while pre-teaching-and-learning activities, the teacher took more than five minutes when introduction to new lesson. Then the teacher explained the difficult words. It took five minutes. The teacher gave a text to students to understanding and identifies the characteristic of the texts. After that, student practiced by themselves and it was followed with question-answer. Teacher gave reinforcement to students and relied the lesson. It took ten minutes. In the post teaching-and- learning activities, teacher closed the lesson by motivating student to learn better than today.

The observation took with 80 minutes. In pre-teaching-and-learning activities the teacher started with greeting put class in order. Teacher checked attendance and call each name of student. The last pre-teaching-and-learning activities, the teacher asked the student about the lesson yesterday. This activities took fiften minutes. In the whole activities, the teacher introduced the new lesson. The teacher gave new words to the students related to the text and they were difficult. It took more than five minutes. The teacher asked student to find out the word meaning on dictionary. After that teacher dan students discussed together to understading the text, it took ten minutes and then the teacher explained the propose of study. It took ten minutes. Teacher guided practicing and then the students practice to answer the questions, it took more than ten minutes.

The teacher relied the lesson and gave an evaluation test, it took more than ten minutes. In post-learning-and-teaching activities the teacher gave motivation and home work. It took five minutes.
