The world around is filled with misery -- starvation, disease, exploitation, the brutal indifference of great wealth side by side with appalling poverty, the enmity between man and man. In such a situation we can either wear blinders to concentrate only on our lives or we can change the world in the little ways that we possibly can. GBS Yi-Net and Rotaract Club of Calcutta Metro South, the two student bodies of Net Globsyn Business School, had joined hands to embark on a mission to inform the people about the social evils plaguing our realm. A street play was put together, depicting the fight between good and evil, by together, the members of the two bodies and was enacted at City Centre II, Rajarhat, Kolkata on the evening of tre September 29, 2012. The play started with a giant black figure standing in the middle of the

stage, depicting the backbone of the evil forces. At every step a black character came out of the giant figure and exercised his power on the oppressed white characters. Some of the issues like child labor, corruption, deforestation an female trafficking were highlighted. At each step the and evil came out as the triumph, however, we also saw the good increasing in number and forming he a group of themselves. At the climax, the white characters formed a structure of Maa Durga, amidst blowing of conch shells a recitation of the Durga mantra and revolted against the evil and ed mass to take down the giant black structure. At last good prevailed over evil. Nearly five hundred people were present viewing the play, while a thousand more were impacted through while placards that were carried by the characters around the shopping mall after the play. The play was followed by a performance by the members of the two bodies where they played music using scraps like plastic bottles. The motive of the performance was to send out a message that non-degradable items should not be dumped but, should be used for other purpose to save the degradable environment we live in. The band performance got applauded by the huge crowd that had accumulated to listen to the peppy songs being played so innovatively, with them demanding an encore after the conclusion. The event was graced by the August presence of Mr. Siddharth Ghosh, General Manager, City Centre II, Ambuja Realty, Mr. Rabindra Tantia, Net Guide, GBS YiYi Net and Mr. Avik Mukherjee, Professor, School of Finance, Globsyn Business School. The event was sponsored by City Centre II, Subway Restaurants and Red FM.
